You can manage your parks, reserves, open spaces and buildings in RAMM. You do this by creating UDTs for the assets.
UDTs are RAMM database tables which you have defined yourself so that you can use RAMM to manage your asset and condition data which are not in the standard RAMM Set.
Preparation and Understanding is Vital
The set up of these complex asset structures is vital to the success of your management programme. You should take special note of the videos for planning, grouping, linking, relationship and location videos before you create your complex asset UDTs.

Before you launch RAMM Manager to create your complex UDTs you need to plan them very carefully. Here is some advice on asset models, asset trees and asset attributes.

You save time and ensure greater consistency if you create drop-down lists that can be used across a number of UDTs. See how to do this in this video.

When you are creating your complex UDTs in RAMM Manager you will want to group the component UDTs in the User Defined Tables List panel so that they match your template.
Grouping UDTs in the List Panel (3:20)

Complex UDT assets can contain many component assets. If these are not logically grouped it can be very dificult to deal with them. So you need Grouping or Category UDTs.

Complex UDT assets can contain many linked component assets. So before you contemplate adding complex UDTs you need to understand linking and link types.
Understanding Linking and Link Types (5:29)

Complex UDT assets can contain many related component assets. So before you contemplate adding complex UDTs you need to understand UDT relationships.

At the Location Options panel you determine whether the UDT assets will be Point, Line or Area assets and how they will be located, if at all. This is especially important for complex UDTs.

At the RAMM Modules Options panel you determine whether the UDT assets will be available in RAMM Contractor and Pocket RAMM and will use the Assessment and Asset Valuation functions.

You can add UDT asset shape files in RAMM GIS and then complete the asset details and linking in RAMM Detail. The shapes display in RAMM, RAMM Contractor and Pocket RAMM.
