SOCKS Proxy or Proxy Server
It could be that you need to use a SOCKS Proxy to access the Hosting Service. If this is the case then find the IP address (or name) of the machine on which the SOCKS Proxy runs and the port number on which you should communicate with the SOCKS Proxy. Enter these details into the screen with the list of applications and make sure you tick the button which tells the software to use these settings.
A SOCKS Proxy is sometimes known as Proxy Server or SOCKS Server. Sometimes you will have a Proxy Server separate from a SOCKS Proxy so the explanation below may need to be read a number of times.
If all else fails phone one of these numbers and one of our friendly and helpful support staff will be at your service.
